Moore Beauston & Woodham, LLC, a leading Accounting Firm specializing in being a full-service accounting firm, today announced that Ken Newhouse, CPA, USTCP, CGMA, CITP has been appointed as the firm's new Managing Principal, effective January 1, 2025. Newhouse succeeds John Beauston, who served as Managing Principal for 24 years and will transition to a part-time client service capacity.
Newhouse brings over 30 years of extensive experience to his new leadership role. Having joined Moore Beauston & Woodham, LLC in 2011, he possesses a comprehensive background spanning auditing, accounting information systems design, tax, and consulting. This diverse expertise provides him with unique insights into all facets of the firm's operations.

Throughout his tenure, Newhouse has served as Partner-in-Charge of the Columbia office and as a vital member of the firm’s Executive Committee. His dedication to the accounting profession extends to his active involvement with the South Carolina Association of CPAs (SCACPA), where he has served on various committees, including Chair of the Governmental Affairs Committee and as a member of the Board of Directors. Notably, he has frequently testified before the SC House and State Senate on legislation impacting the accounting profession and tax conformity bills, earning him the SCACPA President's Award twice and the Service to the Profession Award.
