Judi Steward, CPA received the Iowa Society of CPAs (ISCPA) Rising Star Award during the Sept. 25 ISCPA Circle of Excellence Awards banquet at The Meadows Events & Conference Center in Altoona. The award recognizes Iowa CPAs age 40 and younger who demonstrate strong leadership abilities through involvement in ISCPA, a civic or charitable organization, or with other professional organizations.

Judi is a tax manager with Moore Beauston & Woodham in Ogden. After starting her career in South Carolina before returning to Iowa to work remotely, it was her proposal to expand the South Carolina firm to Iowa that led to the firm’s opening of an Ogden office in January of this year.

Judi has demonstrated strong leadership and active participation in ISCPA by volunteering with ISCPA’s young professionals and serving as a CPA panelist at colleges and universities. She’s also a member of the Ames Regional Economic Alliance & Young Professionals Group, a board member of the Ogden Legacy, and a member of the Boone County Chamber of Commerce.

Judi has played a key role in strengthening her firm's relationship with Iowa State University’s Beta Alpha Psi chapter. She is actively growing Moore Beauston & Woodham’s name recognition by attending meet the firm events at colleges and participating in public speaking opportunities.
