Derek Poston
The Bulldog

Derek has served as Senior Manager in the firm's Charleston office and now as Partner. He provides clients with auditing, accounting and consulting services. He has over 22 years of public accounting and received his undergraduate degree from The Citadel.

Derek's area of specialty include construction contractors, nonprofit organizations including OMB Circular A-133 requirements, manufacturing and business consulting. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the South Carolina Association of Certified Public Accountants. Prior to entering the accounting profession, Derek was an advanced jet instructor pilot in the Air Force.

In addition to his work as one of the firm's partners in Charleston, he services on the Board and is Treasurer of the Charles Towne Landing Foundation, a nonprofit that seeks to increase the knowledge of Charles Towne Landing.

A native to Charleston, Derek enjoys golf and following The Citadel athletics.  His wife, Darlene, works in the athletic department at The Citadel.  They are members of The Church of the Holy Cross on Sullivan's Island.
